Thank you for such a glowing comment about my attempts at making gliding competitions a bit more interesting for people stuck on the ground!
I’m currently working on getting the site totally user driven which will make it possible for any club to use it. I’m almost done configuring an improved version for the Juniors and then I’ll have time to setup one more competition.
If there is a club out there who has a fairly computer literate competition team and email addresses for the entry list then I’m happy to set up the system for their use. Please send me an email at melissa-website@littlebluecar.co.uk
Later this year it will be possible to do all the competition configuration online, including allowing contestants to register online. Based on our experience at LGC, simply doing online registration has removed 90% of the workload from the competition secretary! It also ensures that when pilots register it’s simply a matter of confirming details, with no need to retype pilots details to produce entry lists or scoring scripts.
To top it off it has a whole (new an improved for this year) area totally devoted to keeping track of landouts, including printing retrieve maps and producing on the fly scores.
